Residents in the State seat of Auburn want to protect the village status of our community and reject the proposed rezoning as an inappropriate development.
We are concerned by the parking and traffic impacts this proposal will impose on Berala.
We have vibrant and diverse shop fronts along Woodburn Rd and understand that High Rise Development will force up commercial rents and force the closure of local small businesses.
Transport NSW advice to the Department of Planning indicates inadequate infrastructure capacity to support increased housing densities in Berala.
Increased housing densities have already been achieved in Berala with the proliferation of duplex and granny flat developments. The restoration of the T2 Inner West Line, City to Liverpool via Berala is only temporary with the T3 Lidcombe to Bankstown via Berala due to shut soon depriving us of Transport Infrastructure.
